How to care for a Damascus band:

Keep in mind that moisture is the enemy of Damascus Steel in general, whether it's a $1000 ring or a $30 band. If your fingers sweat a-lot or the ring is wet then it's prone to rust.

Luckily, Damascus steel bands are relatively easy to care for. You can use gentle soap and warm water to wash away any dirt that might accumulate and keep the band dry after washing, rubbing it with a soft toothbrush to get rid of stubborn grime. Just be sure to keep your ring away from harsh chemicals, like bleach, which can cause damage to the ring. Avoid saltwater and chlorine, which can cause corrosion and rust over time. If you can't spare the time for maintenance, we recommend you a damascus ring with a wooden sleeve.
